Carla is pregnant and naked, just like in the photos where her mother poses pregnant with Carla herself. Sunlight streams through the windows. We see Super 8 bursts of grandparents, uncles, parents, great-grandparents; smiling, sewing, reciting poetry. So, we see a young woman growing up from the 60s to the present day, passing through the 80s, crossing the thresholds of femininity and history, until she meets a pregnant Carla next to the blue sky of the Catalan coast.

Mohammad, a Syrian migrant, works on a construction site in Beirut. That day, something prompts him to volunteer to drive the tallest and most dangerous crane in Lebanon.

The owner of a bar orders Erwan to collect a gambling debt from a defaulter and the encounter ends with a stab wound. When his ex calls to remind him that she has promised to take care of her six-year-old daughter, Charlie, Erwan realizes that the night is going to be difficult. Especially since the police are waiting for him at the door of the house...
