Aguilar FF Industry Hall consolidates its commitment to the short film industry

The Aguilarense festival will be a meeting point for the sector thanks to a wide and varied program aimed at the professional public.

Children and families, women filmmakers and humour once again have a relevant role through the sections MiniAguilar, Narradoras, Ríete tú and Noche Gamberra.

To consolidate its commitment to the short film industry, the Aguilar Film Festival will offer in its 34th edition a wide and varied program aimed at professional audiences. In this way, the Aguilarense event, which will take place from December 2 to 10 in the Palencia town of Aguilar de Campoo, will once again become a meeting point for the sector thanks to the Aguilar FF Industry Hall.

Within the framework of this initiative and for the second consecutive year, the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM) and the Aguilar Film Festival have launched a new call for the Open Ecam Aguilar FF 2022 Award for projects of short film in development promoted from Castilla y León.

OTHER SECTIONS. Along with the 61 works from all over the world in the competitive sections of the contest, the Aguilar Film Festival will screen as many films in the sections MiniAguilar, Narradoras, Ríete tú and Noche Hooligan. At MiniAguilar, a mini-festival within the Aguilar Film Festival, children and families will enjoy alternative content to what they usually have access to on commercial and television circuits.

Likewise, the most recent Spanish filmmakers, once again, have a relevant role in the Aguilarense competition for the third consecutive year. Following the line of work that began with Documentalistas and continued with Animadoras, Narradoras proposes a selection short films of fiction directed by women in the last decade. There will be a session with a total of four titles.

Finally, this year the festival premieres the Laugh You section, which will broadcast seven comedy shorts in two sessions to enjoy the cinema while laughing with good cinema. For its part, La Noche Gamberra -a section born in 2019 thanks to the commitment of actor Fele Martínez- will reach its third edition. This initiative will once again bring the most irreverent and rabidly funny works closer to the public through a session in which the performer from Alicante will dialogue through monologues with the films, taking them out of context and giving them a new format with humour always as the protagonist.
